StoryWalk® is an innovative and delightful way for children — and adults! — to enjoy reading and the outdoors at the same time. Laminated pages from a children's book are attached to wooden stakes, which are installed along The Beat. StoryWalk® promotes literacy, physical activity, and time together in nature.
StoryWalk® at Oak Grove began during the pandemic as a way to reconnect students and their families to campus. It continued once students returned to school as a way to promote literacy and outdoor learning during the school day, but is also enjoyed after hours by community members.
StoryWalk® is funded by The Oak Grove Foundation.
