Rain plan:
5-6pm - pick up pre-ordered meals, eat, pictures with Grover, organized chaos 6pm - students go to classroom to pick up lantern and line up INSIDE the classroom. Parents will go with them and line up OUTSIDE of the classrooms. 6:15 - we will announce the start of the parade over walkies, lights will go out, and Mrs. Deery will begin the parade beginning with 1st grade going counter clockwise through the building. We will do two loops. END OF PARADE: lights will go back on once all students are back in their classroom. Parents may pick up students and exit the building. There will be overflow seating in the hallways. Please keep food and pops inside the cafeteria. |
Students have been working on their lanterns with Mrs. Deery during art, and will use them for the school lantern parade as well as the evening parade. Each student will receive one set of string lights for their lantern. If your child wants to add more lights to their lantern for the evening parade, Mrs. Deery suggests these:

This year,in addition to our parade during the school day, the parade will also happen at night! Families are invited to meet at the school for a family picnic and night time parade. Benefactor BBQ will be on site, but families can bring their own food. Students will line up for the parade at 6:15, and the parade will begin at 6:30 - following a route along The Beat with students carrying their marine life themed lanterns.
